Candidate should be board certified in internal medicine, entrepreneurial in spirit, have a past history of successful initiatives in business development, be driven for success, savvy to the pharmaceutical industry, strong selling skills and comfortable interacting with scientific/academic opinion leaders. Should be highly motivated, skilled in public speaking and writing and presenting scientific manuscripts. Should be highly motivated to grow Bracket’s rater training data quality monitoring (RTQA), digital medicine, patient engagement and enhanced electronic clinical outcome assessment (eCOA services into clinical trials into all major specialties of internal medicine (especially oncology, cardiovascular, diabetes and respiratory).

Position Overview:

The Clinical Vice President, Internal Medicine represents BRACKET’s scientific and clinical leadership in internal medicine.

The Clinical Vice President is tasked with major leadership functions including a) business development support and initiatives to further develop the rationale and market for application of Bracket’s rater training, data quality monitoring, digital medicine, patient engagement and data quality-linked eCOA services services into all major specialties of internal medicine. In support of the aforementioned, consultant will model the effect of Company’s services into data quality, signal quality, number of subjects required and efficiencies as it relates to the major fields of internal medicine; b) creation of a scientific advisory board (SAB) and roster of opinion leader and other expert consultants in the major fields of internal medicine; c) endpoint reliability program design and execution; d) investigators meeting delivery; e) research and publications; and f) governance of the quality and integrity of endpoint reliability and training and educational deliverables and methodology. In sum, the Clinical Vice President position represents an integration of scientific, clinical, teaching, and business development leadership.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

Business Development:

Support BRACKET annual Sales goal through support of Business Development activities including:

  • Drive development of a market for Bracket RTQA, eCOA and patient engagement in internal medicine
  • Play a key role in business development of Bracket products for home based and wearable products in internal medicine
  • Creation of an SAB and consultant roster to assist in market development, sales and delivery of Bracket services
  • Actively identify new business opportunities through new and existing professional contacts.
  • Actively participate in the preparation and delivery of business development presentations to potential sponsors.
  • Actively participate in the generation of proposals, bid defenses and client presentations.
  • Actively participate as a “closer” in the business development process.

RTQA program design and execution, meeting delivery and client support:

Support portfolio of Client Projects :

  • Work with Bracket colleagues to design new and customized RTQA, eCOA, patient engagement and home based programs in internal medicine
  • Execute, monitor and interpret ongoing programs
  • Actively participate in the conduct of client-facing billable services including IM delivery, consulting activities, video development, etc.
  • Maintain and develop customer relationships to ensure quality customer service and ultimately the identification and development of business opportunities.

Research, Meeting Presentation and Publication Strategy:

Guide, oversee, implement and evaluate BRACKET’s research and publication strategy including:

  • Actively participate in the strategic planning and development of BRACKET’s research and publication strategy.
  • Research and present investigations of the effectiveness of endpoint reliability and teaching solutions
  • Encourage and foster research ideas at both the Group and enterprise-levels.
  • Develop and maintain relationships with academic institutions for the purposes of potential business and research collaboration and publication opportunities.
  • Prepare and present posters, manuscripts, and oral presentations to key publications (e.g., New England Journal of Medicine, Jnl of Clinical Oncology) and conferences in support of Bracket’s strategies.

Clinical Content:

Support Clinical Staff in the development of high quality clinical content to support delivery of client projects.

  • Coach/mentor clinical staff as relates to clinical activities and preparation of clinical deliverables.
  • Facilitate ongoing evolution, development and governance of clinical content, deliverables, and methodologies.

Relationship Management:

Build and strengthen relationships with network of clinical consultants, industry contacts, and scientific societies with the goal to grow the Bracket business as well as promote quality client deliverables.

  • Maintain a high level of visibility within the pharmaceutical and clinical research communities with the goal to support Bracket’s Sales growth.
  • Participate in public speaking opportunities at trade shows, seminars, and scientific societies to promote public relations and business development.
  • Act as a spokesperson for the company’s research capabilities, consultative capabilities and areas of subject matter expertise.
  • Mobilize Thought Leaders (Foundation and EU SAB Directors, Expert Presenters, and select Thought Leaders) as effective Bracket Advocates through a range of tactics designed to promote communication and collaboration including: i) co-development of posters and manuscripts; ii) participation in Bracket-sponsored Symposiums; c) collaborative research; and d) co-marketing/commercial relationships.

Do you have the right background for this job?

Required Skills and Experience

- If MD or DO, should be board certified in internal medicine and comfortable/savvy in specialties such as oncology, diabetes, cardiovascular, GI and respiratory

- Experience evaluating and treating internal medicine patient

- Medical Research experience, clinical trials/industry experience preferred

- Strong teaching/public speaking experience and skills.

- Demonstrates strong business acumen and marketing potential
