Position Overview:

The Statistical Programmer Analyst will provide lead statistical programming and analytical support, primarily using SAS® Programming System. The Statistical Programmer Analyst will report directly to the Associate Director, Statistical Programming and collaborate with staff across the e-Clinical Practice, working closely with Project Teams, Business Development, Quality Management, and Technology & Development.  The Statistical Programmer Analyst will require minimal supervision. 

 

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

Other duties will be assigned

  • Write, modify, and maintain SAS programs and macro code which produce and verify randomization and kit list files and SQL tables
  • Work with Bracket Principal Statistician on Dynamic and Adaptive Randomization Projects and Simulations
  • Review Study Protocol and Randomization List Requirements and create Randomization Lists
  • Review Kit List Requirements and create Kit Lists
  • Perform ad hoc programming using Java and Jira JQL
  • Document and Manage New and Existing Randomization Lists
  • Assume responsibilities for data transfer, including documentation
  • Contribute towards process improvements
  • Act as technical consultant to other departments
  • Provide trainings and presentations on topics related to randomization and clinical and statistical programming
     

Skills & Competencies:

Education

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent plus at least three years experience in a role similar/comparable to the position described above. Masters level education in an applied statistics field highly desirable

Experience

  • Pharmaceutical/biotech industry experience
  • Knowledge of IVRS/IWRS randomized treatment and labeling list generation and management methods highly desirable
  • Solid understanding and experience with:
    • SAS/Base
    • SAS Macro Facility
    • SAS ODS
    • SAS Proc SQL
    • MS SQL Server or similar
    • Statistical concepts and procedures
  • Working knowledge of Microsoft Office suite (especially Word, Excel); Java; Jira JQL

  • Ability to quickly learn and apply new skills, procedures and approaches

  • Proven ability to work both independently and in a team-oriented environment, providing back-up support to team members & establishing/maintaining effective work relationships with co-workers within and across functional areas
  • Previously demonstrated proactive and positive approach to tasks and projects overall, as well as to the types of scheduling & process changes that are inherent in a fast-paced business
